Aluminium pivot doors · Eko-Okna

A door that turns, not swings.

Move the hinge off the jamb and put it inside the leaf, and a door stops being a door and becomes an opening. That is a pivot: a single slab of aluminium up to thirteen feet tall, hung on a concealed axis, that swings clear of the passage instead of eating it.

An all-glass pivot leaf is possible as a custom configuration — a pivot system with a glass filling instead of a panel; ask us and we will quote it.

From $15,000 installed · every pivot door is measured and quoted

Why a pivot costs what it costs

The hardware carries the whole door

A hinged door hands its weight to three butts screwed into a jamb. A pivot hands it to one floor spindle and one head pin, and those have to take up to 1,102 lb and still shut on a gasket line. That hardware, and the floor prep it needs, is most of the difference in price.

The leaf is a structure, not a slab

At three metres tall an aluminium leaf wants to twist. These are built on 77–80 mm thermally broken profiles with a reinforced perimeter so the door stays flat and the reveal stays even top to bottom — which is the only reason a shadow gap this fine is possible at all.

Nothing about it is a stock size

Every door here is made to your opening, in your colour, with your handle and your access control. There is no catalogue price because there is no catalogue door — which is why this page ends in a conversation rather than an Add to Cart.

The systems

Four pivot platforms

The system is the aluminium the door is built from — it sets how tall and how heavy the leaf can go, how it seals, and how it drains. Drag any section to turn it.

What the leaf can be filled with

The ranges Eko-Okna list for this system. Each keeps its own size limits — a panel is never built past its own maximum, however large the leaf is allowed to be.

MasterLine 8 Pivot XL

13'1" tall, 8'2" wide, half a tonne of door. The one that stops traffic.

The oversize MasterLine 8 Pivot. Same 77 mm platform and offset axis, but engineered for a leaf up to four metres tall and half a tonne — and it can be ordered as a three-leaf landscape run.

  • Leaf heights past 13 feet — the tallest pivot we can source

MB-86N Pivot — cutaway section through the frame, sash, thermal break and glazing

360° section through the frame, sash, thermal break and glazing unit.

Aluprof MB-86N Pivot

MB-86N Pivot

The all-glass one — full glazed leaves, linear drainage, zero threshold.

Built on the MB-86N system, the most widely specified aluminium platform Aluprof makes — so the door matches the windows, sliders and curtain wall on the same house. It is the pivot to ask for when the leaf is glass rather than panel, and the only one here offering linear drainage.

  • Takes full glass panels: the all-glass pivot look, in a thermally broken frame
  • Linear drainage — no visible weep slots across the bottom rail
  • Zero-threshold option for a flush, barrier-free entry

Cortizo Millennium Plus Pivot

Millennium Plus Pivot

Cortizo's 80 mm platform — the weather-sealing champion, C5 / 5A.

The Spanish alternative. Millennium Plus runs an 80 mm frame with a 24/26 mm thermal break and a 400 mm pivot-axis offset, and it posts the strongest weather classes of any door on this page — useful on exposed elevations and in town, where its acoustic insulation earns its keep.

  • Top weather classes here — air 4, water 5A, wind C5
  • Panel fanlights can be built into the same elevation
  • Bicolor and pre-anodized finishes, not just powder coat

Not just Pivot Line

Also available on a pivot leaf

Eko-Okna list the same panel ranges on all 4 pivot systems as on the hinged door. Every design below can be built on a pivot — filter by range or type a code.

Despiro 53

The main range. A 3-inch aluminium panel filled with insulation, built to order — timeless in the plain grooved designs, dramatic in the stainless and glazed ones. Selected designs take safety glazing or recessed LED-lit pull handles.

Retro Line (overlay) 26

Classic elegance on the modern panel. The overlay build applies the moulding on top of a full 3-inch Despiro panel, so you get traditional proportions with the thermal performance and the flat-panel rigidity of the modern range.

Retro Line (insert) 26

The same 26 classic designs, built as an insert panel inside the door frame rather than laid over it — simple shapes, safety-glazed lights and traditional hardware. Panel thickness follows the design.

One limit to know. Each range keeps its own size ceiling — Eko-Okna publish these three to a maximum door of 102-3/8" × 55-1/8" (2600 × 1400 mm), so on a leaf taller or wider than that the panel is not the right filling, and we will say so before you order rather than after. Eko-Okna also list their AluLine panels ↗ for these systems (122 designs, 15/16", 1-7/16" or 1-7/8" (24, 36 or 48 mm), Classic or Plus filling); that range is not catalogued here — ask and we will quote from it.

Each tile opens the design's page in the entry-door catalog — same design, same page, whether you hang it on a hinge or a pivot. From $10,000 installed as a hinged door; a pivot leaf starts at $15,000.
